1. What are they famous for? 2. What was their childhood like? 3. Teenage years? 4. Adult years?
Part B- Your group will write a biography about a famous person. Your teacher will tell you which one.
You will need to find out about 4 things: 1. Chidlhood and family. 2. Education. 3. Character and appearance. 4. Achievements.
Choose one of the following ways to present the person you are researching:
Creating a poster with interesting and important details of his/her life in illustrations and words, using the four headings you researched. It's a great idea to use index cards for the presentation as you should not be reading directly from your poster.
Writing four different diary entries including a glimpse of childhood, teenage/young adult years, and adult life using information from the four headings you researched. Write from this person’s point of view at important times in his/her life. You may read directly from your diary for the class presentation.
Building a diorama (this may be from a shoebox or something similar) showing, in a single “scene,” the famous person in an important place in his/her life. Please include a written explanation of the scene. It's a great idea to use index cards for the presentation as you should not be reading directly from your explanation of the scene.
Making a portrait (2 or 3 dimensional) of the famous person, including four paragraphs about him/her. It's a great idea to use index cards for the presentation as you should not be reading directly from your paper.
Your research notes need to be handed in with your project.
Prepare to present your project with the class. Your presentation must include highlights from the four main headings on your graphic organiser that you researched and took notes on throughout the project .
